Check that the download completed

A file with zero bytes or an unusually small size is probably incomplete. Open the browser download list, confirm there was no network error, and download once more from the result card.

Try a current media player

An MP4 container can hold different video and audio codecs. Older built-in players may reject a valid modern file. Test with an updated browser or reputable media player before converting it.

Do not rename extensions blindly

Changing a filename from one extension to another does not convert the media. It only changes the label. Use a trusted converter only when you own or are authorized to process the file.

Inspect storage and sync

Cloud folders may show a placeholder before the full file reaches the device. Ensure the file is available offline and that the device has enough free space for playback and temporary decoding.
