About the Facebook Video Downloader
Facebook videos have no download button unless you uploaded them yourself. Paste a public video, Watch clip, or fb.watch share link and you get the MP4 directly — usually with a choice between the HD and SD versions Facebook keeps.
Facebook stores several encodes of the same video, so the result card lists each quality it finds and lets you pick. Links copied from the app, the desktop site, or a shared fb.watch URL all resolve to the same video.
How to use it
- Copy the video link — from the post's share menu, or straight from the address bar.
- Paste it above and press Download Media.
- Choose HD or SD in the result card and save the MP4.
Questions
Which link formats work?
facebook.com/watch, /reel, /videos, fb.watch share links, and mobile m.facebook.com links. Tracking parameters like fbclid are stripped automatically.
Why do I sometimes only see one quality?
Facebook does not always keep both encodes. When only one exists, that is the only option shown.
Can I download from a private group or friends-only post?
No. If the video needs a logged-in account to view, it cannot be read.
