Several URLs can point to one video

Facebook exposes Watch pages, post links, Reel links, mobile links, and shortened fb.watch addresses. A shortened link normally redirects to a longer Facebook URL before the video loads.

The share menu usually provides the cleanest address. If a link comes from an email or messaging app, open it first and confirm that it reaches the intended video rather than a profile, login page, or removed post.

Tracking parameters are optional

Parameters used for referral tracking are not the identity of the video. A downloader can often ignore them, but it still needs the core public URL and the video must remain available.
