Saving Facebook Reels on iPhone and Android: Where Files Go

Copy a clean Reel link

Open the Reel, choose Share, and use Copy link. A link copied from a chat may contain extra tracking parameters, but the core facebook.com or fb.watch address should remain intact. Confirm the Reel is public by opening it in a private tab.

Download in the browser

Paste the link into the Facebook Reels tool and wait for the result card. Choose the best available quality, then approve the browser download if prompted. Avoid tapping the download button repeatedly while the first request is still processing.

Find the file on iPhone

Safari normally saves files in the Downloads folder inside the Files app. From there, open the MP4 and use Share to save a copy to Photos if desired. The Photos library is not always the initial destination.

Find the file on Android

Chrome and other browsers normally place the video in Downloads. Use the Files app or the browser download history. If storage permission is restricted, update the browser permission and try once more.
